Serendipity’s Tip for Winter Blues

Get out of the Winter Grip.. Wake up and get out of the house this weekend. Winter has a way of bringing your spirit down. The lack of sun (S.A.D.) and the cold winter gripping your body like a hug from someone you don’t want. I avoid the cold as much as possible so sorry if this post is a little harsh to the Winter Fairy’s out there who seem to love it. A good tip that may change your mood and keep your mind in one piece is to join indoor activities with people. Here is a good list of things you could do. I face this every winter and it is amazing how it makes you feel when you do join something.

1. Join a gym with a pool

2. Go tanning to combat (S.A.D)

3. Go to the mall once a week

4. Go to a Cafe with internet

5. Find little places to eat each week and hang out

6. Indoor paint Ball or Lazer Tag

7. Join an Art class at night.

8. Go to a Library

9. Go to a pub with friends and make it a habit

10. Volunteer  your time

If your alone in winter it’s not much fun, so get out there. Just because it is cold doesn’t mean Old Man Winter has you locked up dragging you to the pits of hell.   Also think of it this way, if your going out to these things and see a man or women doing the same..hmm I bet you already have one thing in command so chat it up. You never know when a good relationship will come knocking on the door even if the dam thing has an inch of snow and icicles hanging from the freakn’ door knocker…lol yes, I am not fond of winter.

Scars?…or War Medals? the break up

First we can talk about the one who got broken up with. One of the hardest things to do is imagine  life after a break up. Your head is saying you knew it was coming. But the heart still hopes and pushes on. If you stop and think…and gather up all you went through chances are your better off. life is a chain of events that puts you where you are to day. That saying “if it was meant to be ,it’s meant to be” is one rule you should always live by because it is true. The break up is not the end of a battle,it is the beginning of a new day for you. It’s going to be hard but you just won a medal because if your hurting, it says you cared and have a heart and someone else deserves it more then they did. So wipe the tears and take what you learned about yourself through that relationship and us it to what you DON”T want in your life.

Now, I have a few things to say to the people out there who did the breaking up. There comes a point in your mind long before you say “It’ s over”. Your not fooling anyone. You know long before whether or not your going to stay in the relationship before you announce it.Maybe your staying in it for the right time to say it or your still feeding on the relationship to cut it when your ready to. My point is do not drag a good person along until your ready to brake up. Have some guts, have some morals. When you start to have your own agenda outside of the relationship you need to let the other person know. Don’t use the relationship as a fall back if it doesn’t work out for you. It is selfish and cowardly and will haunt you in the end.

Every situation is different but the core of this topic is always the same. If your going to break up don’t use the person a day longer,do it. If your the one who gets broken up with, ware that medal with pride because you did everything you could he/she just didn’t deserve what you had to offer.

Profile Photo Do’s and Don’ts

OK, Let me see if I can put this in a good way for some of you to understand. Although many say looks do not mean anything, I find it hard to believe in that. Looking at this scientifically we all have what they call a dent in our Genes. Some of you may have read this report.  Some are attracted to long hair or a guy with muscles. Every single person on this planet has a normal list of dents they use when looking at a man or women to see if they are attracted to one another. Say you are looking at a profile photo and only see a drivers license type photo. Some look at it and may pick up 1 or 2 likes (dents) but need much more then that to form and attraction. Take a look at the list, this may help you when doing your profile in the future.

1. Take shots of you sitting in a chair

2. Take shots of you in normal movements

3. Take shots of you dressed up

4. Take shots of you in sweat pants (informal ware)

5. Take shots of you smiling in every picture you take.

6. Take shots holding things in your life (books you like and so on)

Do Not’s:

1. Take a shot with you kissing air ??

2. Take a picture as a want to be model

3. Take a picture just showing your privates

4. Post a picture that is blurry

5. post a picture that is so dark you just see your teeth and eyes

6. Look like your about to kill someone

The object of profile pictures is to tell a story of who you are. Take some time and get good amateur  photos. Sure you can get a pro to take them but why? I think people would rather see what you look like the other 23 hours of the day not just a one time photo session.

Dating more then one person??

Society is for ever changing, this is what we do. I have been reading some blogs

and speaking to a few people and there is a new (new to me) trend. Let me ask you something…what is up with dating more then one person at a time? I don’t quite fallow this. Since when was it OK to kiss another person while seeing someone else? Forget the physical  aspects of it think of the mental aspects. Dating is not and should not be construed as a competition. If you are someone who dates more then one man or woman at a time you may have lost a very good relationship because of this. Before physically dating someone show some respect and get to know them well before you meet. Your wasting there time and yours and mentally playing with there emotions for no other reason but for self gain. There is nothing against talking to someone on chat or email but when it becomes real take the decision and be responsible and let them know you are committed to dating one person and that you have chosen them. If it doesn’t work out then move on and take what you have learned with you.

Tip on one sided relationships

For those of you who can understand this your not alone. You may ask what is a “one sided relationship”. Well, I’ll tell you. In the beginning of a relationship the two of you are in a balance. One does for the other almost equally. As time goes on normally it keeps this balance. At times, it may go one way or another but over all it equals out. Say you and your partner take roles in the house or the relationship like cooking. Now for a long time each of you have had a set structure in responsibilities around the house. All of a sudden… you start to do more then you did before and your partner is doing less. Here is where the one sided demon comes out. Now not only are you doing the cooking but your also doing all the cleaning. It’s not wrong to give a hand or even help out more but, this can escalate   . The more you do the less your partner will do and throw your relationship into a spin. This can be your day to day tasks like cooking or can even be emotional or sexual interactions. When you start to see your partner asking for more then they are giving to the relationship a Red Flag should go up. Let me give you an example of this.

“Hun, I need you to come with me just for emotional support”

(A) “How can I, I don’t want to be around those people they are nothing in my life”

“I’m tired because I just worked 60 hours can we just watch a movie at home tonight”

(A) “No, I want to go out.I don’t get a chance to do anything”

Here are the signs:

1. They say ” I ” instead of “we”

2. They want you to provide all the affection in the bed room

3. They feel everything in there life comes first then yours

4. Everything becomes about them

5. When everything you do becomes “not enough”.

These are just a few, maybe you have more to add. My point is this, all relationships are not always equal. You and you alone know what you will and will not do. However if the relationship tilts so far one way you will start to loose your identity and become this other persons slave to them. I is very hard because you still love this person but your needs are not meet. I would recommend speaking to someone if you think change can happen or part ways the best you can. One Sided Relationships are not a relationship at all so be careful and watch for this.

Growing together or Growing apart

This topic may have a lot to do with some of us out there. We should talk about  growing together first. When you first meet there is an energy between the two of you sparks fly and smiles abound. This time period binds you together like glue and you feel nothing can separate the two of you. This is good as long as you understand that life will try everything to pull it apart. It is your choice and yours alone to withstand the tests of life.  Relationships take work, some more then others. If you have good communication and the ability to compromise equally you have a very good chance of withstanding the tests of life.Growing together to form a stronger bond then when you first meet is the key. You have to remember your a team in life.

Now lets talk about growing apart. In each relationship there are many reasons why you grow apart. Communication breakdown, wants and desires not meet, the list is endless unfortunately for this. Think of growing apart like this, in the beginning   1+1=2 right? now think of it like 1+2=2…not right hu.. or 2+5=2 . Every time he or she does something that you don’t like or agree on the number goes up. Before you decide to end anything, see if you can bring it to there attention and if it is something they can work on. 1+1=2 always and  2+5=2 at the end will never add up to a good relationship.

Display of Affection Tip List

This is something I would like to talk to everyone about. Some of you out there may not understand the importance of this. What happens when you take a balloon and rub it on your head? The static energy makes your hair stand up and makes your head tingle right? The same can be said for human touch from your partner.

If you walk by her/him and just place your hand on there back it is a sign of affection that triggers there mind to feel comfort. To many time these small but powerful gestures get lost in the everyday life of a couple. Affection is one of the leading components in a good relationship. For some men it is hard for them to display affection and some women too. However affection comes in many forms.

Simple ones you can do every day:

1.  Call him/her for no reason

2. Rub her/his shoulders while talking

3. Compliments

4. buy her favorite cookies for no reason

5. when you talk stop and look at each other

These are just some of the primitive things you can do. I want you to test this and I’ll bet you will see a big difference in your man or women. Days of buying flowers to get out of the dog house are over. That form of affection only works when it is done from the heart not “oohh crap I got to do something”.You have to reconnect to that spark that started the fire.
